My First Day Of College Essay

On my first day of college I was incredibly nervous about multiple obstacles I was about to face. One of my biggest worries was how I would manage to pass a college English class. However, when I walked in the classroom and saw my old high school classmates Jace and Lauren, I became a bit more comfortable. I was also relieved to discover that the class was very small and the teacher was not scary at all, unlike my prior belief.
In high school, English class was quite easy for me, except for my senior year. Prior to my senior year I was always in the honors classes and had no problem making an A. Though, when I look back on those earlier high school years my teachers were not that great. I feel pretty confident to say they most probably never even really read the papers, but just put a grade. Therefore, up until my senior year I thought I was an awesome writer. However, when I reached my senior year I decided to drop honors because I had heard the teacher was really hard. The rumors were all true because she was incredibly difficult. There were moments throughout the year when I had a big fat F average, which I had never seen before. This particular teacher for my senior year was very strict on writing. She had a layout and if it was not followed exactly how she wanted, you would not get a satisfying grade.
