The small town wasn’t suiting me anymore, not that it ever really had. I was tired of the loneliness it brought to me, the same day lived out day after day. But in all reality I was terrified to say yes until one night in the heart of Tennessee, my best friend asked if I’d join her in the move down. Sick and tired of the people and the dreary winters I finally said yes. It was decided. My best friend and I would make our journey after her graduation to join a community of unity. It was always a question, something I’d never wanted to commit to, but things were changing.
Until moving day though, there were still two trips down and back we would take for the festivals. The first up would be the festival of the Feast of Tabernacles. Sadly, my friend’s Grandma was put into hospice days before we were supposed head down together. So I ended up going with my mom, her friend, and her two kids.
After fifteen hours of driving through six states, we had made it to Brentwood, Tennessee. We were staying in a condo with 3 other families from our church. We spent our days at the church and our nights at other member’s houses, playing games and catching up on each other’s lives.
I had the opportunity of seeing friends and meeting new people from all around the world. The second night in Tennessee we went to a youth gathering at a member’s house where my brother Austin, friend Carly, and I were the first to show up at the house.
