One of my friends who was my best friend since 8th grade who talked to me like twice a month when I as in NY didn’t really talk to me anymore. Every time we would try to hang out she would always have a reason why she couldn’t. We use to be best friends and tell each other everything and now we hardly even talk. The hardest part was going back to school and seeing the people that she replaced me with. I never knew moving would change things so much. This taught me an important life lesson that sometime people change and life takes them in two different directions. The people you thought would be there always will not, but, people who you never expected would. I say because a friend that I made freshman year was really supportive of me. Someone who didn’t owe me anything but really help me. When I was hurt because of my friendship that was falling apart she was there to help me and be a good friend to me when I didn’t deserve it and I’ll always be grateful to her for that. But moving back to North Carolina wasn’t all negative because upon returning I was able to start back volunteering at Vidant Medical Center, rejoin the Pitt County Collation on Substance Abuse, start my own club to support our troops and new program that really opened my eyes to our legal …show more content…
To not be so this is my option and this is right, but to understand were other people are coming from. To consider their options and not just dismiss them because they’re not the same as mine. This also made me more accepting of people and their different views. These experience have also taught me that I want to be a role model in my community. That even if you don’t have the best start you can have a great end point. Even today being a public health nurse I am still able to help my community by advocating to people why they have to take care of their body so they don’t have to come see me at the hospital. That through my community service, college, and to become a nurse, I have found that I love giving back to my community. As a public health nurse I can save you a trip just by telling you how to take of yourself. The biggest point is that if I didn’t get my life tighter and start caring about my grades I would never have never started volunteering , and if I never started volunteering I would have never found my passion of helping and giving back to my
