Loyalty is a friend

“Look out for the people who look out for you. Loyalty is everything” ~Conor Mcgregor. To have a true friendship we should always be in search of loyalty. A thousand disloyal friends does not compare to one loyal one. They will stand by your side and never leave and always have your back. The key part of a friendship is Loyalty as shown in Romeo and Juliet, Mockingjay, and the friendship of Dwayne Wade and Lebron James.

During the worst of times when Romeo lies slumped in sadness his dear friend Benvolio still stays by his side in his time of need. In this quote it shows Mercutio standing up to tybalt for his ill-mannered respect towards Romeo; “No, ‘tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church shall find me a grave man. I am peppered,”(3.1.90-95). Mercutio shows loyalty to Romeo by sticking up for him when Romeo would not do so himself. Romeo and Mercutio are is my favorite foil in Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the play while Romeo is sappy and feeble, Mercutio is making jokes and ridiculous speeches(Act 1 S 4 line: 53 Queen Mab speech and Act 1 S4 line 25-29 “Is love a tender thing? It is too rough, Too rude, too boisterous, and it pricks like a thorn. If love be rough with you, be rough with love; Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down.”) This example demonstrates that Mercutio is a rambling joker that can’t take stuff like “true love” seriously.…

I've never read of any character in any story that is so loyal to their master, that they agree to serve them in the next life. I still find it odd at the end of the play to see any reason as to why he was devoted. I think Shakespeare should have given the reader a background story explaining his extreme loyalty.…
