In today’s rapidly developing world the need for mobile phones has only increased since its creation. First introduced to the world in 1976 by Motorola, cellphones have took the world by storm (Goodwin). The evolution of cell phones is the development of cell phones over time. In today’s world almost everyone owns a cell phone. Since the boom in technology more and more cellphones can be found almost everywhere. You can walk into a gas station, supermarket, department store, and even dollar store to find a cell phone now and days. Cellphones were created to make mobile communication much easier for the work place and also for personal use. A cell phone is a mobile device that has multiple functions such as calling, messaging, listening to music, watching videos, connecting to the internet, and connecting to the world. Most people use cell phones to stay in touch with their coworkers, family, friends, clients, and sometimes strangers. Over time cell phones have changed drastically.
When the cell phone was first introduced it was a simple device that did basic tasks. Although it was created in 1973, the first cell phone was not available to the public until 1983 (Goodwin). The cell phone named Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, was a large device that allowed you to talk for only 30 minutes on a single charge (Nguyen).
