It is important to know that culture is not race, it is not nature, and many aspects of the life of people which are usually considered natural are in fact cultural because culture is learned in a process of socialization. Culture is symbolic and meaningful it is also a compilation of traditions and values. The teachings of the Church, which we are going to communicate and share, are also part of the tradition and culture we live in. This “Tradition” has a divine origin and is inspired by Christ; in Him, with Him and through Him. It is apostolic and takes place through symbolic acts and gestures as much through words. Jesus shows the young man the law that he has to fulfill, and he replies that he has done as the law rules. Moreover, there is something else that Jesus commands but in this, the young man was not able to obey because there is some attachment that does not allow him to sell his possessions. He is not able to understand what is behind the new law that Jesus has given to him. A much more deep foundation is behind this commandment. The true happiness relies on no attachments. The foundation of the law is greater than the law itself.
We live in a material world. But that being in the world requires a way to achieve it, to live it. It is important to cultivate our spirit in virtue. Our behaviors have to be conformed to a culture, values and principles that rule our moral life. In this sense, the practice of virtue requires from us a strong personality, hard work, and real commitment, which is the result of fidelity to the truth and goodness, and the consciousness of our own
