Through his experience and relationship with Kevin, Max changed significantly from the start of the novel by learning to use enjoy knowledge and learning. In the very beginning of the book Max says,“This time I don't say huh because then I might have to explain how I'm an L.D., and reading books is the last thing I want to do.” Then, at the very end of the book Max ends up writing a book, and says he might even read some, which is definitely a change for,”reading is the last thing I want to do.” Later in the book but before the end, it’s christmas time and Max just opened the pyramid with Freaks dictionary. Max writes,“This is the best thing getting Freaks dictionary.Everything Else is extra”. I don’t think he would liked it before Kevin came
