Majority of the Australian children are attracted by the music, especially from newborn to primary school ages. They listen to music at home and in the school. Learning music is to stimulate the student’s cognitive development to develop better and enhance their abilities to produce a high performance in learning mathematic (Bilhartz et al., 1999, pp. 615-636). This activity will allow them to use the digital technology to watch two video clips, about the people using many glasses with different levels of water inside the glasses to compose the songs. This activity enables the students to experience the musical discovery, to extend their curiosity, enthusiasm and communication (Rockos & Neuman, 2011). The first YouTube “Street Performer Playing Mozart on Water Glasses”, which provides the students a concept of the amazing music is composed by glasses with water inside. The second video “Playing Wine Glasses Tutorial” is as an instruction for them to follow in creating the sounds around the brims. Allowing the students to use ICT in the classroom is to help them perceive a better understanding through the visual learning (ACARA, n.d).
Assessment strategies:
Observing how the students work in their groups, stimulating their critical thinking’s with prompt questions, encouraging them to express their own language to describe how they can find a way to create different sounds with the glasses and water. Reflecting the benefits of using digital technology in their learning. Enhancing their performances and expanding their existing knowledge during the activity (Larrivee, 2009).
