Leadership is critical to business and most successful organisation whether they are business; government and community are successful because of great leaders. There has been a lot of work done in leadership but still it 's undervalued. Growth of early childhood sector emerged the need of strong leadership in the children 's services. Leadership is the ability of an organisation 's management to set and achieve challenging goals, take accurate and timely decision, perform better in the competition, and inspire others to perform as well (Rodd, 2013). Leadership sets up the goals for an organisation and then provide directions to all staff members to reach their destination. Leadership guides the staff about their performance and professional responsibilities through supervisions, suggestions and action plan. Leadership is also about setting a positive example for staff to follow, by motivating them to learn and helping them in both individual and team activities. Leadership is not about taking the responsibility as a whole by acting at the front counter but it involves performing in a way that can support empowerment and well-being of others (Sinclair, 2007). The Leader provides the information, knowledge and methods to realize that vision and co-ordinates and balances the conflicting interests of all members and stakeholders.
