Leadership is critical to business and most successful organisation whether they are business; government and community are successful because of great leaders. There has been a lot of work done in leadership but still it 's undervalued. Growth of early childhood sector emerged the need of strong leadership in the children 's services. Leadership is the ability of an organisation 's management to set and achieve challenging goals, take accurate and timely decision, perform better in the competition, and inspire others to perform as well (Rodd, 2013). Leadership sets up the goals for an organisation and then provide directions to all staff members to reach their destination. Every leader should have leadership philosophy in Early Childhood Setting which should start with clear realistic, credible and attractive vision (Nanus,1992) .So leaders need to think clearly and strategically about future possibilities and offer optimism and their effort as a successful and imagined future about their services (Waniganayake, 2012). Leaders proactively invest mentor and facilitate not only his learning but learning of others as well. Leaders need to create a learning environment that promotes his engagement as a leader with others in professional development. Leader articulates his ideas with mutual collaboration and communication by working together and leading at the front. A good leader adapts the cognitive approach to organisation culture by establishing the rules and ways of working. As Australia is a multicultural society and childcare services serve children and families from diverse background so leader encourages the values, beliefs and diversified attitude of staff, families and children from different background (ECA, 2008). This will uphold the children 's interest and rights as a priority and can develop sound leadership skills of a leader. I will enact my leadership philosophy in early childhood setting by being an agents and facilitator for change by reflecting on my approaches to early childhood practices, theory research and policy so that I can move forward with wisdom (Waniganayake, 2012). I will accommodate the organisation structure and culture to accommodate the contextual factors (Morgan, 1997). I will facilitate the change at the organisational level through my transformation and transactional approach and at the social and political level. Leadership style is Early Childhood is different than a positional or traditional leadership so I will enact my leadership style in non -hierarchical style by being a part of the team and not about being a traditional boss (Hard, 2008). Team-based leadership will give me an opportunity by reflecting the values and underpinning ECEC teaching and presents a coherent means to lead and manage at the service level. "Ethics of care" is involved in the Early Childhood Industry and leader is responsible not only for the care of young children but also for the staff as well (Gilligan, 1982).
