Interview with Joe B. Castellano I recently had the opportunity to speak with orthodontist Joe B. Castellano about his career and his pathway to success. He shared many insights about why and how he chose the dental profession, what skills are most useful, the advice he would give to students who are pursuing in the dental field and what goals he has yet to achieve in the near future. We also discussed his education, his plans on the dental industry’s current and future challenges, and what areas he feels that need improvements and his plans to improve. Thought the years as Dr. Castellano was growing up he had plenty of dental work done as a child. He was missing his lateral teeth and owing to the fact of the shape of his face, his dental surgeon requested it would be appropriate for him to get dental implants by preference than moving his canines above and reshaping

Impressions will be a thing of the past since full-mouth scanning will be the option of choice. In addition, orthodontic wires will continue to improve, and this will lengthen the time between appointments”. Dr. Castellano had a mindset on the industry of the professional challenges and benefits and one of my questions that I came upon to ask was “Describe a typical day at work?”, so, therefore, he stated, “our office days begin at 7:50 a.m. with a 10-minute staff meeting, followed by short appointment visits from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. New starts and demanding (placing braces and removing braces) begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 12:15 p.m. After lunch, we schedule another staff meeting at 1:20 p.m. for 10, minutes followed by our afternoon of appointments. We have very short appointments from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. so that we can accommodate as many patients as possible. The typical workday is from 7:50 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 65 minutes for
