LEADERSHIP WITH A PERSONAL FLAIR According to Manktelow (2015), the different styles of leadership are autocratic, democratic, Laissez-faire, transformational, bureaucratic, charismatic, servant, and transactional leadership. Each leader develops a style that falls into one or a couple of these styles because there is not one style that fits all leadership situations. This paper will describe the author of this paper’s personal leadership style and how this style has an impact on organizational effectiveness.
Personal Leadership Style
According to Givens (2008), transformational leaders inspire followers to accomplish more by concentrating on the follower’s values and helping the follower align these values with the values of the organization.

Organizational cultures have a huge impact on organizational effectiveness. The transformational leader sets the tone for employees through role modeling the organizational culture behaviors. According to Rush (2012), US CEO’s ranked these six components in the following order of importance: determining strategic direction, developing human capital, exploiting and maintaining core competencies, sustaining an effective corporate culture, emphasizing ethical practices, and establishing strategic control. Leaders understand they are a guiding factor in creating an effective culture in the organization. Transformational leaders also understand that how effective their human capital is will translate into an effective organizational culture. According to Givens (2008), transformational leadership is positively related to followers’ perceptions of leader effectiveness and higher levels of motivation. This is the Inspirational Motivation (IM) factor in that transformational leaders inspire greatness in the employees of their teams. This comes back to a leader’s effectiveness has a direct correlation to a follower’s job performance. Based on the four I’s of transformational leadership, transformational leaders have a good impact on organizational effectiveness for a few different reasons. One reason is that transformational leaders model what effectiveness looks like for followers. Another reason is that transformational leaders inspire others to be the best employees they can be and work as a team towards meeting organizational goals. Transformational leaders have genuine concern for their employees and care about helping them reach their individual goals. Finally, the main reason why transformational leaders have a positive impact on organizational effectiveness is that these leaders challenge employees to stretch
