Workflow is the progression of established concept grouped together to accomplish tasks executed by arrays of individual within and between work environments (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2015). The modification from paper charts to the electronic health record (EHRs) by the health organization amends the existing workflow for improvement, however; unruly erupts if the new design lacks workforce corroboration and validation and trail a lag in patient care and interaction (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, n.d.). Workflow bearing is challenging to assess because the Health IT design is usually not suitable for given practice or patient population without frequent redesigning to fit workforce needs. It is imperative to understand and assess workflow design when deciding where and how effectively to integrate Information Technology into arrays of healthcare systems. There are arrays of changes on IT systems influence on workflow related to healthcare, namely: information flow, distribution of tasks, and communication patterns (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2015).

The Steps in Redesigning Workflow
The subsequent workflow tools would help in appreciating current work activities, modify those activities, or generate novel work activities, which will aid implementation of health information technology.
