Telehealth
Telehealth is a collection of means or methods to enhance all aspects of healthcare through support using telecommunications technologies. Telehealth uses electronic information to support and promote long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional videoconferencing, the internet, store-and-forward imaging, streaming media, and wireless communications. The use of telehealth brings with it some benefits such as provider flexibility, patient satisfaction, and staff efficiency. Although, with beneficial products also follows a few challenges. Some examples of these challenges would be the difference between your selling price and your cost, utilization and misdiagnosis. Patients who utilize telehealth are able to cut down waiting room time, and also travel time. Without satisfied patients a successful health care service would cease to exist. When services consider the patient’s satisfaction, the return of the patients to that particular health care service is almost guaranteed.
The final benefit would be staff efficiency. When a health care service has a efficient staff work will flow much easier. Telehealth will allow all staff members to be on the same page regarding patient information.
