Every day we wake up, and for most people, their first reaction is to pick up their phone, and go through each social networking sites and apps. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Myspace are just a few social networking sites that are accessed daily by people around the world. LinkedIn, Monster, Simply Hired, and Craigslist are some of the most popular sites when you’re currently job hunting. In today’s society, social networking can be both positive and negative. It is up to you how you decide to use it. Are you going to have fun and post personal, inappropriate photos and comments? Or are you going to take advantage of the opportunities technology and social networking has given us?
Myspace was one of the first social networking sites that was created to help friends keep in touch. As time went on, Myspace became a site to compete with your best friends. Who has the best pictures, the best background and design, who is listed as number one best friend, how many friends do you have? It didn’t take long before Myspace became a reason friends were fighting or kids were being bullied. As young teens grew older and slowly starting stepping into adult hood, Facebook was made known. A place that college students who went to State or University, could keep in touch as they went their separate ways to start a new chapter.
