This movie was based on a man named Paul Rusesabagina, a hutu, who marries a tutsi, named Tatiana. This diversity of the two tribes being represented within this marriage creates a tension that can show the man versus man conflict. In the eyes of the hutu officials they would have believed that he was a traitor do hr hsf to make sure that no one would find out. As the days pass they begin to foster the tutsi people within their house to keep them safe from the hutu. One night they are discovered hiding the “cockroaches”, or tutsi people, and they are forced to flee to a different area. He continues to bring refugees into his hotel so that they can hide from the hutu officials. As the story develops, the tension continues to grow not only between the two ethnic groups but also through the society and the oppressed. Because of this hidden refugee camp, he has to convince outside forces that only western and european people are staying in the hotel or else he would have been killed for housing tutsis. This film created a very good idea of this conflict for those on the outside and caused others to come in and help end this genocide.
