The Jewish Holocaust began with Hitler’s rise to power as the chancellor of Germany and the establishment of the Nazi party. The Tutsi Genocide began through an act of violence believed to be caused by the RPF of the shooting down of President Juvenal Harmanas plane killing him. Hutu extremists reacted to this by starting a campaign of slaughter against the Tutsi people known as the Rwanda Genocide (BBC News, “Rwanda Genocide: 100 Days of Slaughter). Hitler’s goal was to make a superior race of German people by eliminating all other races in contrast Augestien Buzmundi’s goal was to solely get rid of the Tutsi people. The conflict between the Hutsi and the Tutsi people began many years before the actual genocide took place. The Jews and the Germans conflict however, only began ounce Hitler rose to power and the Holocaust began. The methods in which the Nazis and Hutus used to eliminate their victims differed as well. The Nazis used work camps and concentration camps with gas chambers and shootings to kill the Jews, while the Hutus used mainly guns and machetes to kill the Tutsis.
