Lifestyle choices have a huge effect on everyone’s lives, and choosing unhealthy choices can lead to many detrimental effects on an individual’s life. The World Health Organisation defines health as a state of ‘complete physical, mental and social wellbeing’ and by choosing a variety of life choices, you can have positive as well as negative effects on this state of wellbeing. A lifestyle is widely affected by the external environment that an individual lives in, and choices affect your life. To become healthier, you need to be able to reach a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing, and in this leaflet I will be analyzing different ways in which to improve our lifestyles to become healthier. Areas that I will be analyzing will be:

Physical Activity recommendations and guidelines:

Physical activity is described as any bodily movement produced by the skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure, and examples of this are walking and cycling, as they require physical and also low levels or mental exertion. To gain a variety of health benefits, the Department of Health recommends that 30 minutes of moderate exercise should be completed every day for 5 days in a week for adults, yet 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous…
