In another cross-sectional descriptive study done in University of Namibia to assess KAP among health science students regarding infection prevention and control which included study of 162 students, where 31 were medical students,114 were nursing students and 17 were studying radiology, medical student’s perception regarding disinfection was found to be higher (73%) compared to nursing students (66%) and radiology students (61%) (Ojulong et al,2013). In a cross-sectional study which was done in Kasturba medical college in Mangalore, Karnataka ,India to assess awareness of infection prevention practices among 268 medical students, findings showed that there were inadequate knowledge regarding infection prevention specifically though proper hand hygiene practices (Kulkarni et al,2013).
