One year ago, in biology, the class was assigned a project related to our global warming unit, instead of the normal end of unit test; to numerous students' dismay. The main requirement was that we join up in a group and work together. However, I was reluctant to work with anyone due to my arrogant attitude prevented me from finding a suitable partner to which would let me receive a pleasing grade. To my shock, I was compelled to partner up with someone with less than adequate resolve and ambition. Since I cannot reveal this person’s name, let's just call him roger for now. During many times in the project, the urge to shout, scold, and leave roger built up within. Nonetheless, the conditions were clear, I needed him, even though we possessed very distinct characteristics and frankly did not like each other. After two weeks of back breaking and hair pulling work, we were finally able to finish with a less than agreeable grade; this experience had brought up an inevitable realization one must experience at least one time in their lives in order to function as a normal human being. In life, as people we will always become dependent on other people to complete a certain goal or aspiration; however that does not mean that we need to spend all our lives as a single hive mind. With this in mind that no matter what, all persons can be individuals with their own unique personality. Roger and I contrasted each other in more ways than one; despite the fact that we were dependent on one another. I am still Sebastian Lucatero, a person who strives towards his own ambitions, and Roger is still the person he is with his own unique character. Nevertheless, when it comes to it there is no need to be too conceited in my own abilities, as there is no harm in having humility; knowing that at times I need assistance from others and vice versa, where I can help other
