Volunteering at a dental clinic during my free time really exposed me to the field I wanted to go into. My experience with patients while shadowing Dr. Hasany at her dental office gave me a more intimate one-on-one perspective. My interest was beyond piqued as I watched the doctor perform root canals, extract teeth, fill cavities, treat gum disease, remove decay as well as listening to patient’s concerns.
