There are three different bureaucratic controls called feedforward, concurrent, and feedback. Feedforward controls can help business operations set rules, regulations, and standards before it all begins. The objective of feedforward is to help prevent and mitigate problems at the beginning before it goes through a system. The Grizzly Bear Lodge currently has operations for a small lodge opened and is hoping to expand its operations with bigger lodge space, more holiday packages, and expanded food service. The lodge should have current policies and rules in place so employees can have guidelines to follow when certain situations arise. Grizzly Bear Lodge is known for their customer service and values their customers to make sure that all requests are done efficiently and up to customer satisfaction. With the close interaction, it has with customers that can be used as a niche to price their new holiday packages and new food service. Working with local businesses to offer new outdoor activities will be important to help bring in more customers and also helping local businesses as a whole. The packages should be priced competitively with the food service they will be offering. Combining the outdoor activities with the new food service will be important and will help set the Grizzly Bear Lodge apart from other competitors. With the new expansion, the lodge also must pay the employees more either through wages or other benefits. The lodge has plans to hire more employees in addition to expanding and make improvements without cutting back on personal customer service. Making sure the employees have competitive pay will incentivize them to work harder and making sure the customers are satisfied with the stay. Implementing bonuses for the employees will also motivate them to work efficiently and that will help lower cost. The lodge can have permanent employees that are paid more who have experience and can lead the seasonal workers that come and go as necessary when demand changes. This will give the lodge strategic opportunities to squeeze labor when it is not necessary and expand labor when demand is high at the lodge. It will be important to have permanent employees because having some experienced employees at a bigger lodge will make it less stressful for the
