More generally, what is at stake is the future of Yosemite. Often we concern ourselves with the question of what the park stands for today, but I believe it is important to take into account the future of Yosemite, but more importantly future generations. So, we must ask ourselves, “What are we doing today so that our children, grandchildren, can also enjoy Yosemite just as we do today? Furthermore, we must continue to fight against policies that endanger the symbolism and values that the park stands for.
