One individual commented on a website called gracethrufaith.com, by Jack Kelly, saying, “Can you explain what pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, OSAS, and literal reading is and why I should care? I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God – He is my Lord and Savior – the only way to salvation (John 14:6).” Sure it is the primary concern of the Christian faith to believe Jesus is the Son of God, but it is also important to know the facts about the Bible so that you can be better prepared to defend your faith should you find yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place. This includes knowing certain key points about the Bible, by studying Bibliology. The study of Bibliology includes Revelation, Inspiration, Inerrancy (Infallibility), Authority, and Canon. It is important because God is important and He is revealed throughout the whole Bible. By studying the Bible, we can better understand God and have a better relationship with Him.
A Revelation is a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way, specifically the way God reveals stuff to humanity. Revelation can come to humans through God by nature, His actions, direct speech, or the Bible. There are two types of Revelation: general and specific. Paul gives an example of General Revelation in Romans 1:20 by stating how we clearly know He exists through nature ever since creation. Special Revelation is how God reveals Himself supernaturally, like in Exodus 3:2 when God appears…
