Global warming is there. It's presence is undeniable even to the most skeptical people. Countless trials and experiments have proven its existence and it's fatal impact on our world. Global warming is not just a random misfortune to our planet; it was created through decades of our ignorance and carelessness. What is it and is it our fault?
The number one reason why people are skeptical about global warming, is because they can not wrap their mind around what it is and what it does to our planet. Global warming is the

Our earth was in complete balance before humans inhabited it. Why would the natural CO2 amounts decide to rapidly rise in the last few decades? That is because they did not. The CO2 levels rose due to human actions. "Though natural amounts of CO2 have varied from 180 to 300 parts per million (ppm), today's CO2 levels are around 400 ppm. That's 40% more than the highest natural levels over the past 800,000 years"(How Are Humans Responsible for Global Warming?). One leading contributor of man is deforestation. Trees absorb CO2 and convert it into oxygen. By cutting down billions of trees, the CO2 is not converted, but added to the already thick blanket on our atmosphere. Also, when a tree is cut down, the CO2 it was storing is released into our air. Nearly 32 million acres of rainforest were cut down each year between 2000-2009 alone. According to EDF, if this amount of deforestation continues to take place, another 200 billion tons of CO2 will be put into the atmosphere in later

As mentioned in a quote, “Human activities have added greenhouse gases to the atmosphere” (National Academy of Sciences B2) science proves human activities are the main cause of global warming. But, there have also been comments arguing that human activities are not the cause of climate change.…

Many people, including politicians and scientists, believe that climate change is simply a hoax. Everyone has heard the term global warming, but how is this major issue being defined? To many people, global warming is defined as the steady rise of the Earth’s temperature from an excess of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere. While this last definition seems to be the easiest due to being less scary and not having to deal with the problem, it does not mean it is correct. As difficult as it maybe to accept the truth, people are slowly making their own home an oven; therefore, leading to fluctuations in the weather patterns, drastically rising sea levels, the extinction of many species, and an overabundance of…
