09 September 2016 Global Warming- A Hoax When the average person turns on the news, he or she is bombarded with new scientific breakthroughs from some of the world’s so called smartest people about the ice caps depleting by ridiculous amounts, penguins and polar bears being wiped out, precipitation increasing around the world, and the ocean warming and rising to unprecedented levels. Scientists and the media are putting the blame for all of this on humans. They claim that it is the average human being’s fault for creating all of these problems, and causing all of this damage. They are not right in blaming the human race for causing what they believe may end up being a mass extinction, and is there really no evidence to back up these huge

One of those reasons being that people are simply uninformed. Every time a person turns on a news channel he or she is bombarded with tons of celebrities or people in positions of power blabbering about global warming and what a threat it is to humanity, and instead of doing some research and looking at the real evidence, they simply believe that if it is on the news that is must be true. That is only one explanation as to why the average person might be so hung up on global warming, but there are still other reasons why the president and other political figures in high positions of power are pushing so hard for global warming. The world is in denial, climate change is happening, and the earth is dying because people are killing it. A clear example of this denial is seen in the decline of news coverage regarding environmental change, “in 2007, the three major U.S. networks—CBS, NBC, and ABC ran 147 stories on climate change; in 2011 the networks ran just fourteen stories on the subject” (Klein, 34). People do not want to hear about climate change and decreasing natural resources. Continued denial will be the downfall of human existence if the world population continues on the present path of destruction; positive change to the global footprint must incorporate control of the population, its consumption, and future technological choices.…

Global warming, defined as the gradual increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere, which is generally associated to human interference, has a huge impact on our daily lives. The problem known as global warming is usually credited to the greenhouse effect, a phenomenon caused by gasses such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and water vapor which trap the heat coming from the sun into the atmosphere and restrain the heat from escaping back into space. The heat which is in turn trapped in the atmosphere increases earth’s overall heat. This problem, although naturally occurring, at a certain extent, has been drastically increase by human hand. The main reason I chose Global Warming/Climate Change as my topic is that I have been taught that global warming is not real, but so many think it is; I decided to look into it myself. Evidently, it is a pretty hot topic all over the world. The sides of the issue are whether global warming is real or not. According to NASA, “global warming describes the average global surface temperature increase from human emissions of greenhouse gases” (NASA). The debate of whether it is real or not has recently played a part in the Presidential election of 2016.…
