I rely on other departments to provide me reports and upload files to properly allocate shared service costs across the organization. On a monthly basis, I needed to have these files reviewed and uploaded by noon on the first day of each month. However, for three months straight a co-worker would send the uploads at 11:45am which would not provide a lot of time for me to review and upload the files. I believed that the co-worker was procrastinating until the last minute and forcing me to hurry through my review and upload process. However, when these conflicts arise it will be up to the individuals to manage and resolve the conflict. Successful organizations have learned how to minimize conflicts instead of allowing conflicts to impact their culture.
