How much influence do you think fast food has had on our culture? Explain how fast food may influence your own diet choices?
I think fast food has a huge influence on our culture. Everywhere you look, your sure to see an advertisement for multiple fast food restaurants and eateries. Sadly fast food can sometimes become the easiest choice especially when you live a busy life. I hate to admit it but sometimes I do eat fast food. I can 't lie, I love me some chick-fi-la from time to time but I try not to overdue it. It honestly blows my mind that some people eat fast food for every single meal.
In response to the discussion of the food being served in our nation 's schools, identify similarities and differences you can recall from your own experiences from kindergarten through 12th grade.
I attended the same small christian school from pre-school till 12th grade so my experience isn 't exactly diverse as far as the lunch room goes. Most people now and days are busy and don’t have the time to cook meals at home anymore so they rely heavily on fast food. Fast food also happens to be fairly cheap which is why you will see more fast food restaurants in the inner city and poor neighborhoods. Age could also be a factor, I know when I was a kid I always wanted to eat "out" but my family rarely did so when I got my first job at 15 I was able to eat more fast food because I was spending my own money to buy it. I also believe just a general lack of knowledg about food is missing now and days. More and more children are raised eating primarily fast food so that gets passed down and you end up with a generation that doens think anything is wrong with their diet when its primarly made up of fast and processed

People want food that is made fast, tastes good, and tastes the same every time they buy it. If the food meets the people’s standards, they have a reason return time and time again no matter how unhealthy the food is. In an experimental trial to examine the effect of nutrition labeling on meal choices, frequent fast food eaters agreed or disagreed to 11 different statements to assess reasons for eating fast food. 92 percent go frequently because it is quick, 80 percent because the restaurants are easy to access and 69 percent because the food tastes good (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, “Why Eat at Fast Food Restaurants: Reported Reasons among Frequent Consumers”). Fast food seems cheap to people when they go to buy it, but like everything it accumulates quickly. Many people will see the six or seven dollar meals as cheap and simple because they are already prepared for them. They fail to take into consideration the difference in price if they were to take the time to prepare their own healthier meal. However, after eating fast food multiple times a week, they will start to notice how expensive it really is. Oftentimes people will buy it because they are busy and then they will do the same thing the next day because they like how fast and convenient it is for them.…

Revolutionizing School Cafeterias Are you happy with the food your school is feeding you? Though some people believe schools already give you all you need as a meal and fast food restaurants can cause kids to become obese, others believe schools would make more money off of the kids because theyĺl buy food they like, plus theres a variety to choose from. Some people argue schools need to maintain a traditional cafeteria. For example, they believe this because lunch program is the only program in the school that actually makes money. They are wrong because schools hold fundraisers, like selling candy bars, having car washes and other activities that could help the school make money, and sell products to make money for the school.…

According to the article, “Home Cooked Meals vs. Fast Food Meals,” by Joseph Pritchard, “Despite the health risks that come with fast food consumption, people continue to eat it because many people have no time to select and prepare food at home.” Though there are health risks, many families have no other choice. With other families, the problem may be money.…
