Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to provide experiential analysis of a clinical institution as an example of factors that influence communication. The clinic group used in this example works together to treat patients with rare diseases. Each member’s role is crucial to a good patient experience and to patient safety. The group is comprised of the clinic coordinators, the office managers, foreign relation staff, genetic managers’ students, dieticians, physicians, and hospital administration. The clinic coordinator at the time did not want to expand such an idea. The majority of staff members felt they would slow us down. Gradually due to social and political demand we were educated on the topic and by then many were willing and accepting to the idea.
As the new day dawned, today we are an operation which comprises more than 21% disabled workers and continually accepting and understanding how we can operate effectively together in the work place.
One of our disabled colleges became very sick and got in a wheelchair. She said it was interesting to see how everyone was handling her as if she was really old. In fact she wasn’t. She exclaimed “It really changes how people perceive you.”
Communication within the practise is not always an easy task. As there are many types of communication difficulties. These include but are not limited to; language delay/disorder/impairment, dyslexia, etc. Communication problems arise due to lack of experience and limited opportunities to discuss with others (Bruyere & Ferrentino, 2003).

Today in an ever growing multi-cultural workforce expect to have a spiritual diversity. Care must be taken to ensure that all individual rights are met not only by law but through workplace relations as well. Equality must be met fairly between everyone in the workforce (Hicks 2002).
Our clinic works at high demand. We are required to be high achievers with strong decision making skills against fierce competition.
As a unit of team members we work together to provide solutions to complex problems. As many of us are spiritual orientated people we mutually understand that this does influence work behaviour. For example; where we go in the future is based primarily on our spiritual orientation. We understand the best way to work effectively is to express our spiritual life purposes which creates a common unity among us all.
Our institution has spiritual programs to enhance our awareness of particular behaviour, ethical standards and basic moral value. We work in groups to develop a more socially accepting manner, and do play roles to avoid problems.
