Throughout all of Eighner’s essay he is honest, he never lies to make him seem more pitiful. In his essay he talks about how he used to dumpster dive behind a pizza place for food. “I never placed a bogus order to increase the supply of pizzas and I believe no one else was scavenging in this dumpster”(Eighner 22). This quote is showing honesty is important to Eighner and that he would never do something that would cost someone else something.
