Rhetorical Analysis: Inappropriate rhetoric demonstrated
During the three video presentations the appeals such as pathos, ethos and logos were present to demonstrate, suggest and emphasize persuasion in what they were trying to illustrate.
To better understand, Pathos is the way we express emotion while speaking, writing or while we present our selves. (Video: Introduction to Pathos)
Ethos is the author's credibility about the topic spoke, written or experienced shared, for example if I would talk about how to cure a disease and I'm not a doctor my words wouldn't be as credible as if a doctor was speaking. (Video: Introduction to Ethos)
Logos is the presence of organization in ideas, facts and logic supporting and establishing the speakers thought process to be logical and understandable. (Video: Introduction to Logos) In my opinion Pathos was used in every single video appealing to the emotions of the viewer to gain attention.
The first video was on Rosa Parks and how the N.A.A.C office in Alabama used the experience of Claudette Colvin a 15 year old teenager to do a bus boycott and started the movement to end segregation. As the viewer I was annoyed and their usage of words could had been better, or it was for a different kind of audience, but not me as I do not enjoy using curse words because they give me a sense of being vulgar. (Breaking News:Some Bullshit
