Before taking the Ethical Leadership Self-assessment, I was expecting to get more almost always answer and less almost never or occasionally. After taking the ethical leadership self-assessment, I noticed that most of my answer were occasionally. Even though I carried myself as a very ethical person, and love to take the lead sometimes, I was in shock to see that most of my answer were occasionally. However, I was not surprised because, in my current job, I am not able to lead in any way. In my organization, I do not have a leadership position as matter of fact, I still in training. Communication is an essential method because it enables messages to be passed from leaders to employees and vice versa. Learning is also important because it empowers the employees and makes them be acquainted with situations in the organization. Organizations should also prove the performance of employees to ensure that they remain focused.
Ethics plays an important role in leadership and decision making in an organization. Leaders should have ethics and practice ethics in their leadership and when making decisions. Leadership involves command, and it requires good ethics to make commands to others. Good ethics will also enable leaders to collaborate with the employees in a friendly manner. By exercising good leadership ethics, leaders will be able to convince others (Weaver, 2014). This will enable the employees to build trust with their leaders.
Decision-making is a challenge faced by most leaders. However, with good ethical practices, leaders can operate with smoothness. Good ethics in decision-making involves treating others fairly, making decisions without favoritism and keeping promises. Creating a good working environment is also an ethic in decision-making. An ethical leader faces a lot of challenges in his day to day activities. Professionalism is very important to leaders when dealing with ethical issues. Leaders should have vigor; this will encourage others to follow their steps and be focused. Ethical leaders should also not allow personal habits to challenge their trust (Pope, 2015) They should always be firm and bold in the decisions they make.

Leaders who are ethical should practice proactivity. They should be consistent with what they do. Leaders must also not separate ethics from other organization 's activities. Everyone working with the organization should practice ethics. Ethical leaders should also be prepared to face the challenges that moral decisions bring. Leaders should put ethics ahead of everything they always do.
Several activities can be done to improve the ethical culture of an organization. Ethical culture is important to the mission and goals of every organization. The organization should frequently conduct seminars to educate their staff and employees on what is important and the things that should be avoided in the organization. The organization 's leadership should also promote transparency and fairness; this will bring about trust (Pope, 2015).
