The ultimate goal for students is to obtain their desires towards seeking a higher education. This element of leadership is preceded by the numerous graduates of the past, present, and future. Competency The university’s mission provides the necessary abilities to educate and meet the standard of developing a formative process of long range perspective, trust, and concentrated resources for success. Purposeful In the broadest sense, the purpose for leadership in higher education encompasses the following values; (a) create genuine work ethic (b) establishing problem solving techniques (c) demonstrating accountability (d) creating community of reciprocal shared responsibility to support a person’s welfare and dignity. ( Astin, A., & Astin, H. S., 2000) Ethics Ethics lie in the heart of leadership. Honesty is strongly tied to values and ethics; students look to leaders in organizations for guidance toward increasing and envisioning success. Showing respect is another key of ethical and moral leadership to gain inner self worth. This moral development of working toward a common educational goal leads to community.
