Diane working for the Holocaust Museum two days a week and works for the Jewish Federation Community the remainder of the week. The help of docents and volunteers is what runs the museum and what makes it able to operate every day. The museum opened in May 1995 under the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. It originated as a community project for those who were interested in the Holocaust and the Jewish community in St. Louis. Its first name was the Center for Holocaust Studies. Its main purpose was for education and to present the information about the Holocaust and present it accurately. It was very informative and informational. It taught me so much about the background that goes into museum work and how vital it is. Diane taught me how important it is to update the museum. The Holocaust Museum has been around for 21 years and it needs to be modernized very soon. Diane has all of the information and essentials to update the museum and make it better than it is now. Diane is working with the director to recreate the museum and update it to its fullest potential. Overall, Diane did an amazing job with educating me about the museum and all of her knowledge. I feel very confident in my understanding of the museum and its
