The Holocaust was one of the twentieth century's greatest tragedy that left a mark of tragic and horror to all Jews. The tragedy began on January 30th 1933 and ended on May 8th 1945. The holocaust was a miserable time for the jews and other religious beliefs. The nazi army took jews captive and took them from their homes leaving them with only a suit case or two not leaving them with much. The jews would only take their most valuable possessions that was carried in the family like gold, diamonds, necklaces, ring and ect. jews were stripped down of all their possessions and they had to put on prisoner outfits and had a number tattooed on them so they could keep track of them. When the jews were put into concentration camps they were put into small ghettos that it was so crowded in. People would fight for comfort like a pillow or more room they had to lay on a small pad for their bed.

The jews had very little to eat they eat once or twice a day depending how they did working the jews were so deprived of food and nutrition that between 50 to 70 percent were below normal body weight they had enough skin just to cover their skins in some cases thousands of jews died of starvation the jews would sometimes put too big pots of soup in the middle of the jews and the jews would all sit around in than when one tried to get food
