Why breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Breakfast is not your mom trying to get you to eat in the early morning, but there is a reason behind it. Did you know, break the fast literally means that our body doesn’t consume food and drinks after dinner until we wake up the next morning. Having consumed the energy from last night’s meal, we need to recharge our energy that has been gone for almost 10 hours because kids around the age of 7 to 12 years old needs 8 to 10 hours of REM sleep.
During breakfast, all of fibre, vitamins, minerals, protein intake can absorb faster than you eat during lunch or dinner. There are many different health benefits to eating breakfast, but that doesn’t mean eating cookies and fast food as your breakfast

Growing children require a lot of energy to keep you healthy and focus during class or any sport activities either during school or after school hours. Taking healthy breakfast like fruit and vegetables are good sources of vitamins and minerals so try to include a portion of it in your daily breakfast. There is some example of healthy breakfast such as banana, apples, a glass of milk or soya bean, a bowl of cereal or oatmeal, or you can take an egg or sardine sandwiches to start your day. Breakfast also restores glucose levels, a nutrient that is needed by the brain to function daily and properly. Just like any other organ in the body, the brain needs energy to work. Many studies have shown that eating breakfast can improve your memory and concentration levels. Other than that, breakfast can improve attainment, behaviour, develop a sharp memory and can show an improvement in your academic performance. Kids who eat breakfast are typically in better health overall as well. They are less to get obesity and illness, leading to fewer sick days, which can cause kids to fall behind in school or studies. Eating breakfast also helps control appetite. If you don’t eat breakfast, you are continuing to starve your body until whenever you have lunch.
