Solving Racial Profiling in America
Racial Profiling connects very closely with racism and neither one of these things are new to the United States. With the use of social media, individuals are able to spread the word about the crisis that still goes on in 2016. By exposing the waywardness of the justice department and more specifically peace officers, social media has caused an uproar in urban communities.
Black Lives Matter or BLM is an international activist movement, originating in the African-American community, that campaigns against violence and systematic racism towards black individuals. This simulates the non-violent movements that Martin Luther King Jr lead.”We learn history so history doesn't repeat itself.”(Mr.Wright). In this situation we obviously are repeating history. Many lives were lost then and we continue to lose our young black men and women and it is unacceptable.

Within that police academy, future protectors of our community learn how to deal with various situations, such as dealing with fleeing suspects, confronting a possible suspect and protecting themselves from possible and certain threats. In the case of Oscar grant, former BART officer Johannes Mehserle’s action to pull out his gun and fatally shoot a Hayward citizen, were deemed “accidental” (Fraley). If Mr. Mehserle had more training then perhaps he wouldn't have been so anxious in the situation and not have mistaken a gun for a taser.But one has to question why he would even need to fire a taser at a man that has already been detained and is also unarmed.In this case of the death of Oscar Grant the people would decide that this officer is unfit to be a protecter of his city if he can mistake a taser for a
