Racism refers to the negative profiling of individuals based on their skin tone and their place of origin. Many people believe that racism is restricted to blacks and whites only. This cannot be further from the truth. Racism affects other minority races in the country, including the Asians, Hispanics, Africans, among other non-white groupings. However, this is not to mean that racism starts and ends with these four groups. On the contrary, the world should be more awake to the plight of minority groups all over the world. It is the right of these minority groups to find love and acceptance wherever they go. Most importantly, it is the responsibility of every global citizen to understand the culture and diversity of other people. Diversity should be a point of celebration and not a departure point for people Failure to do this will only lead to division and hatred in the world.
