There are many examples to what it means to be a Profession as a Human Resource Sergeant. I see a Profession of HR as someone who is highly educated in the area of Human Resources. This person would have been on the job educated or school house taught. The Army has a set of values that everyone is taught and are told to live by. Leadership, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage is instilled in every Soldier which would make us work harder and longer than the average citizen to get the job done. These morals make Human Resource NCO’s do more with less and make them a driving force in today’s Army. HR Professionals have to work under an ethics code to allow us to work with Soldiers on all levels.
The Human Resources Professionals play an important role in the Army Profession. HR professionals are in charge of the overall welfare and support of all Soldiers. HR Professionals also assist the Army’s leaders with keeping today’s Soldiers ready for combat. They are in charge of an abundance of tasks that make them an intricate piece of the military. These task are from handling promotions, evaluation all the way to Enlisted Strength Management. There is no way the military could do without this
