It is also one of the things that they consider as a way of communicating with other people. A sudden change of personality or behavior and feelings of a person could become harmful to the health of the majority of them. These harmful effects could cause cognitive changes and personality related problems which would most likely affect their language and communication skills. It would also hinder their reading, writing, and speaking skills. They would obtain problems in understanding the topics that were being taught to them in school and can develop a further damage to their skills. Their memory would also be affected which could result to a low academic performance in school.
Experiencing mood swings might not only affect the teenagers’ social life, but also their academic performance and participation to different activities in school. Mood swings might also affect the teenagers’ way of handling things simultaneously or in short, doing multiple activities at once. First impressions create a great impact to all. People are great at making precise first impressions especially in identifying or recognizing the characteristics of individuals’ identity that they are not familiar with. Also, first impressions are continuing due to that great impact which drives them to place more value on the primary data that they get. Thus, by the time they interpret the primary data that they obtained about an individual is a positive one, then a positive first impression will form and control them on how will they react to that person as the interaction goes on. On the other hand, if it is a negative one, then it will form a negative first impression (Hargie, 2011). Based on the demonstration of the social psychological research, people can actually illustrate accurate impressions about other people in a very short quality of time (Rule & Ambady, 2010; Rule, Ambady, Adams & Macrae, 2008; Rule, Ambady, & Hallett, 2009).
