What is discrimination? Discrimination is defined as unequal perceptions or treatment that causes harm. Gender discrimination is a type from discrimination when one person is treated differently due to his gender. In most parts of the world women are treated less worth than men that latterly have negative response on workplace. There is a clear evidence of gender differences in profession choices (konra,2003), promotion rates and salary (kolesnikova & liu,2011) and gender discomfort and harassment (Nielen,Bjorkelo,Notelaers&Einarsen,2010). This issue can be clearly noticed in U.S.A. ,Ladies in the U. S. workforce face difficulties in professional success (Bayard, Hellerstein, Neumark, and Troske, 2003). As indicated by Catalyst (2010), albeit 47% of the U.S. workforce comprises of ladies, fewer than 16% of Fortune 500 board seats, corporate officer positions, or official officer positions were held by ladies in 2009.
