In some cases, the only students allowed to be educated is the male of the culture. All the way through school, students are provided the opportunity to have direct instruction and learn math, reading, writing, foreign languages, history classes, science classes, etc. This enables students to broaden their horizons, discover passions, and hopefully find a career path somewhere in one of those subjects. The people teaching the students these subjects, their teachers, are pouring out their passion, with direct instruction, teaching what they love and are passionate, to students to hopefully show them the brighter side of a math class or history class and hopefully, peaking an interest in the subject. This is probably the greatest thing about teachers. The more teachers you ask, “Why do you teach if you don’t make that much money?” The response would be, “We love watching kids learn, and help them grow as people.” Learning Spanish, or the Pythagorean theorem is not why teachers teach.
