I too agree with Dr. Wallers point regarding incarceration. This type of enforcement is backed up by facts, and that it simply isn’t effective. Building our community up, beginning with our roots are strategies we need to focus on.
As for the 911 calls I believe Dr. Wallers point isn’t to precisely label our tax dollars to an exact location. The percentage he provided must be backed up by data, he doesn’t say exactly where he found these statistics which would make me skeptical of his argument. With that, his argument is that we are focusing too much effort on the wrong idea. He says if we are to transfer only 10% of the tax dollars to other issues that may make a difference, it’s worth a shot.
