Evolution of the American Justice System: Initially, American colonist based their law on English law. Therefore, when the Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence they included the verbiage “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” it created a foundation for the US to maintain the ability to pursue perfection. By 1783, the Colonist won its independence and initiated a host of different actions which has allowed the US and it Justice System to grow into what the US citizens have today. It is imperative that the US powers remain decentralized as decentralization prevents chaos. Additionally, the Constitution provides protection and ensures that the US will not become a monarchy unless such Amendments are passed. Since the US maintains both a Federal and State government it provides additional freedom and diversity. This freedom and diversity lead to effective solutions to issues at both state and federal levels. In order for the US government to work effectively, it is imperative that there are multiple opinions that eventually create a common
