When police news stories are often publicized on the news, majority of the time, it is about how they committed an act of “police brutality” when it was self-defense. After the numerous reports of white police men defending themselves against black criminals, it has now come to the point where policemen can’t defend themselves against people of color because once it gets out, they will often be labeled as racist. People will also be quick to take the criminal’s side as well, especially if they are black. Policemen often lose their jobs after accusations of initiating an attack against someone of color. However one man said: “Just because you're black doesn't mean you're a victim, just because you're white doesn't mean you're a racist, just because you're a cop doesn't mean you're a bad person” (Stack). What Stack said shows how stereotypes made by the media and society have led people to think false information about people of color or people with specific titles. Policemen, often suffer from false depiction from the media, false news reports and disdain from others. It often goes disregarded when a police officer does an act of
