“ Record the police, legal action against police enforcement, and new protocol training.” (ACLU). Making police officials wear a body camera will allow the evidence of any type of excessive force event. In many cases there is no hardcore footage about the incident. Most of the time the court relays on possible witnesses or the police officials testimony. Now that cameras are so cheap and people have cameras on their phones , it is a lot easier to hold the police accountable for their actions. Another thing suggestion would possible have new training will help the police officials have a new way of approaching suspects. This training would include teaching law enforcement to have safer and more professional techniques. Lastly, this article talks about is new ways that the government can teach police to profile suspects in a more fair way. The ACLU had a lot of suggestions for this topic. They believe that this is the biggest reason why this is such a huge problem in our society. There are a lot of facts and negative descriptions about the police brutality. For example, the shootings in Baton Rouge, Falcon Heights, and Dallas have exposed many people to police brutality incidents. In a article by the American Psychological Association it states, “This reminds us that as a society work needs to be done to improve police and community relations.” (APA) On the other hand, they both came up with ways on how to solve it. For example, the ACLU described the 5 step rule to reduce police brutality. There are many ways that we could stop this, but it would not matter if nobody will speak up to take action.
