Leadership is a relevant role in any institutions, mainly for the armed forces. The biggest challenge for leaders is to switch from the junior level to the senior level, improving and adapting their competences to face the demands of the new position. Knowing their strengths and weakness, leaders in any level have to be an example for subordinates, having the ability to influence and motivates them, leading and guiding them toward the mission accomplishment. On that account, they need focus on the objectives, and develop good communications skills in order to transmit their advices and orders. Another fact to remember, organizational leaders contribute to the motivation and provide a positive environment to the development and preparation of other leaders; organizational leaders should make sure the continuity of their leadership and the certainty of the accomplishment of the mission. Consequently, they need to invest time in improving knack to reach their goals and develop new leaders, improving their skills, to perform the tasks of orientation and guidance of their subordinates.
Finally, leaders have to be aware about the differences and of the importance of confronting new situations during the transition from the positions of direct leadership to organizational leadership. Hence, leaders have to know themselves deeply, remember and concern about improve the communication skills, as a fundamental tool for the success of the organization, and develop new leaders as a continuous process.
