3 Doors Down, Mumford and Sons, Eminem, Foo Fighters, and Blues are the bands and styles of music that are always on shuffle in my playlist. I enjoy a variety of music genres but not all. The goal of this music ethnography was to get me out of my comfort zone. So when I heard about a “Screamo” concert, I knew it was the one for me. I enjoy Classic Rock, and some Heavy Metal, but not this genre. Straight Outta Hell tour was coming to Greensboro, so that is where I went.

Stright Outta Hell tour was a Scremo, Hard Core Rock tour. It was made up of four bands: Oceano, Carnifex, Whitechapel, and Suicide Silence. It was held on October 17, 2016 at 6:30pm. I like one of the most interesting parts about this concert is where it was held. The concert

So i asked how he actually understood what they said. He explained that when he started listing to that music it was for working out and he just liked the drums and guitars. The …show more content…

I swear for the first 30 mins of the show, all i heard was the kick drum. Reminded me of the Pow Wows. The kick drum just made steady beats the entire time. There were lights of all different colors. The crowd was going crazy. The floor seemed to be alive. From my position, looked as if the floor was just a wave of bodies going up and down. Every now and then a gap would form in the crowd and someone or a few people would start dancing. Slinging their arms over their heads, in a windmill type fashion. I was laughing my ass off. Looked like they were being attacked by bees. Zack called it hard core dancing. Basically, from my understanding, you start slinging your arms, moving your feet and turn around in a circle, hoping to not hit someone. Reminded me of my nephew walking in the room and saying hey, watch this. Just no pattern to it. Just moved to the
