Descriptive Essay On Hunting

The Adrenaline that a hunter feels being in the top of a tree stand waiting for the perfect deer to hunt is absolutely incredible, however hunters are not always lucky enough to find their prey. My dad and I began going around the ranch a day before we went hunting, we looked around to see where the biggest deer’s were located. We tested and align the rifles, to leave everything prepared to go hunting the following day at dawn. We were very positive that we were going to be lucky enough to hunt a big trophy deer, tough the results we had were never crossed our minds.
Our hope for a good hunt was increased because we saw that many family members had already hunted deer in our ranch, we knew that there were lots of wildlife on the ranch. Deers usually come out in the morning, and in winter season, this animals usually eat acorns, grass, nuts, and twigs, but what attracts them the most is a type of corn that many people call deer corn. The day before we went hunting, my dad and I went to

Animals would come out, but nothing close to what we were looking for. We were very excited and had a lot of hope, we had much desire, but the only animals that would come out were wild boars and does which are female deers, our eagerness was slowly disappearing due to the results we were having and it did not come to see us what we wanted, "don’t make any noise and be ready son, get the rifle and be ready, a deer can come out at any time", my dad said. The rifles used to kill such a big animal are most likely to be the .22 caliber 243 caliber, or 270 caliber. These caliber firearms require good aim and to try to hit the target with a single shot so that you can kill the animal. We were looking for a male deer, approximately an 8 point buck with a good weight. We left deer corn on the road so maybe in the way back to the house a deer could be there eating just in case we didn’t hunt

I hurry and grab my gun so I can finish off this beast. I leaned up against a tree, acquired a steady rest, found the vitals through the scope, and took my final shot. I will never forget the feeling of walking up to the deer and being able to hold his antlers in my hands. I knew my dad was proud of me, even though I made him stop hunting to come help me. The bond my dad and I share with hunting is unbreakable.…

Before we got into places, we heard rustling in the woods where we were heading and right when I got into view of the area I saw the white tail of a deer jumping the fence. We figured it would come back if the area was quiet again. It was about 30 minutes after we were in place was when I heard leaves crunching like someone eating a bag of potato chips. I did not think much of it because I just thought it was another squirrel. But then I saw the body of the deer start coming into view.…

My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…

My heart rate increased as I eased my gun out of the window. I went over what Dad told me. Breathe slowly and gently squeeze the trigger, BOOM the gun went off. I tried to look through the smoke as it cleared to see where she went and then I saw her on the edge of the green field. I was ecstatic; I had successfully killed my first deer hunting…

We kindly asked them to leave, although they probably went down the road to someone else’s woods. Not all hunters are this way, but many try and use this and similar techniques to increase the area they hunt so they may see more deer. Poaching seems to be rare, but some hunters brag about getting away with it. With a lack of evidence, it is hard to prove they do poach. The more people aware of the consequences poaching has on the deer population, the more people will get turned in.…
