Lennie Killing Justifiable

Imagine, your tree stand, and a nice buck walks in front of you. Your nervous and don't know what to do. So you stand up and you're shaking vigorously. You then take the shot. You realize that you have missed and you take another shot and you hit it. It dropped dead in its tracks. What do you do now? Now that you have killed your first deer you don't know what to do and you're scared of what to do. Killing is justifiable in this case because it is hunting to stock the freezer. “Oh, that's nice… lennie was in a panic… lellies other hand is over her nose and mouth. ‘Please don't georgell be mad… he shook her… she didn't answer” (Steinbeck,91). George killed lennie because he didn't want him to go off and commit an more crimes like killing people. He didn't want him to suffer any more from making fun of him. Lennie told george “I’d pet em and pretty soon they bite my fingers and i pinch their heads a little and then they was dead…” (Steinbeck,10). This also leads up to page 87, he said the same thing to curley's wife right before she died. This quote proves that george had to to do it because he got tired of him killing innocent animals, and people. So he took matters into his own hands and killed him.

To Conclude killing should be justifiable because if we don't kill animals the animals will roam the streets. If we don't protect our country we will not have a country. And if George did not kill Lennie he would have probably killed more people then he should. If we don't do these things we will not have meat, a country, or family
