Descriptive Essay On Baseball

Baseball…- a ball game played between two teams of nine on a field with a diamond-shaped circuit of four bases. It is played chiefly in the US, Canada, Latin America, and East Asia. (Dictionary.com) The only thing I’ve ever cared about though, it intrigued me from an extremely young age. Amidst the time when my brother and cousin played this mysterious game outside my grandma's house every other week. I’d sit and watch them throw the white baseball with red laces, outside next to an oak tree in my grandma’s hilly yard. The ball seemed quick but slow, quiet but loud as at the time they were so short the speed at which the ball was thrown would make the soft, wet, green grass move. I would watch the ball drop down when being released from their hand almost as if they accidentally threw a curveball. I’d watch by the hour as the ball flew by my face, wishing air into my eyes. One subtle day I decided to ask them if a could participate in the game that they had been playing. Everyday I saw them play this mysterious game I would ask, but by now you probably know the answer they told me. No It was either you don't know how to play. I would say “I can Play Centerfield¨. You ain’t got a glove! Go away you stupid midget!

So eventually my brother and cousin did let me play actual baseball with them. It was the only thing I’d ever wanted ,so I told them to give me 5 minutes to get ready to go outside so then we could actually play an actual game.
